Upsilon Gallery specializes in American Post-War and Contemporary original and edition artwork, with an emphasis on Minimalism, Pop Art and Abstract Expressionism. Over the last few years, the gallery has mounted many gallery exhibitions, published numerous catalogues, and placed work in some of the most important museums and private collections in the world. Upsilon also collaborates with renowned fine art printers to produce and publish limited edition prints based on the artwork of represented artists.
The gallery is led by director Marcelo Zimmler. A published author, Mr Zimmler holds undergraduate degrees in Mathematics (Hons.) and Computer Science (Hons.) from Pace University, New York, and a Masters degree in Business (Hons.) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, with a specialization in Fine Art, courtesy of the Museum of Modern Art and the New School, New York. Mr Zimmler's Masters thesis, Spillover effects of repeat-sales price growth of Contemporary Art, is a robust quantitative study on the price formation of Contemporary art goods.
