K Blick is a South Korean artist working between London and Europe whose transnational perspective weaves together Eastern and Western sensibilities. Drawing on global folklore and Greco-Roman mythology, her practice constructs richly ayered visual worlds grounded in symbolic storytelling and cultural hybridity. Since 2019, she has transformed 17th-century Portuguese Baroque tiles into a contemporary medium through which layered histories and shifting identities unfold.

Her work explores visual distortion, fragmentation and movement. Through swathes of colour and dynamic brushwork, she merges human figures, flora and fauna into dreamlike, composite landscapes that challenge fixed perspectives. Rooted in mythology and memory, these scenes suggest a more compassionate and interdependent relationship between human and nonhuman life. By distorting canonical narratives, Blick critiques anthropocentric worldviews and explores the fragile balance between clarity and confusion, history and reinvention.

K Blick studied in Tokyo and holds an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London. Her work has been exhibited internationally at the Florence Biennale in Florence, Italy, Tate Modern and Saatchi Gallery in London, UK. After completing various artist residencies from a historic tile factory in Sintra, Portugal to Casa Dell’Arts in Bodrum, Turkey.
