Osvaldo Mariscotti

Mayfair Times | Oct 2024
Osvaldo Mariscotti deals in the fundamentals, relentlessly honing new combinations and articulations of colour and line to crack open visual possibilities. The Italian-American artist has forged a prolific career as a printmaker, painter and sculptor that has spanned more than four decades, producing internationally renowned images. Those works come to Mayfair’s Upsilon Gallery in a self-titled survey of Mariscotti’s output. Launching on October 8 (until November 30), the show features new and historical paintings, sculpture and prints, spanning the last 15 years of the artist’s career. Inspired by eclectic sources, from nature and classical music to the early abstract pioneers, Mariscotti’s painterly method is deliberate, but as the show reveals, the results are never systematic. 64 Grosvenor Street
