Guan Guan is an artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, installation, performance and contemporary jewellery. Her work is distinguished by its critical narratives and visual tension, exploring social, corporeal, cultural and feminist themes through meticulous craftsmanship, dark humour and an often monumental sense of scale.

Drawing on a keen observation of everyday objects and materials, Guan reinterprets the familiar into a distinctive visual language of exaggerated forms and uncanny juxtapositions. Her works frequently oscillate between attraction and discomfort, using humour and distortion to interrogate systems of value, beauty, gender and power.

Guan holds an MA in Jewellery & Metal from the Royal College of Art and has established her London-based studio, eye 爱 I. The studio’s philosophy centres on three interconnected ideas: eye, as a mode of observation; love, as an emotional and relational force; and I, as an expression of subjective consciousness. Through sculpture, installation and contemporary jewellery, Guan engages critically with contemporary culture, offering reflections on identity, materiality and the conditions of modern life.

Guan currently lives and works in London, UK.
