A Decade of Upsilon: 10th Anniversary Exhibition
-
Overview
Marking ten years since its founding in 2016, A Decade of Upsilon brings together a selection of artists who have shaped the gallery’s programme over the past decade. The exhibition reflects Upsilon Gallery’s commitment to fostering dialogue across generations, geographies and artistic approaches, while offering a perspective on its continued evolution.
Since its inception, the gallery has developed an international programme that places post-war and contemporary practices in conversation. Moving between abstraction and figuration, material exploration and conceptual enquiry, the works presented reflect the breadth of artistic positions that have defined Upsilon’s identity.
Rather than unfolding chronologically, the exhibition is conceived as a series of dialogues. It highlights affinities and exchanges between artists, tracing connections across time and cultural context. In doing so, it positions the gallery as a space where historical legacy and contemporary practice intersect.
Bringing together established and emerging voices, A Decade of Upsilon offers both a reflection on the gallery’s history and a proposition for its future—foregrounding the relationships, ideas and practices that continue to shape its programme.

Press Release Text
Upsilon London, is pleased to present A Decade of Upsilon, a landmark exhibition marking the gallery’s tenth anniversary. Since its founding in 2016, Upsilon has established itself as a leading international platform, fostering artistic dialogue across generations, geographies, and practices. Its programme spans post-war modernism, contemporary abstraction, figuration, and conceptual work, reflecting a sustained commitment to connecting historical legacy with present-day experimentation.
The exhibition presents a discerning selection of works featuring gallery artists whose practices have defined and shaped Upsilon’s vision. These include Nicolas Carone, Osvaldo Mariscotti, Bernd Zimmer, Willard Boepple, Stephen Bezas, Ali Eckert, Uwe Kowski, Matija Čop, Guan Guan, and Xinyan Zhang. Collectively, they represent the gallery’s signature voices, bridging historical foundations, contemporary innovation, and emerging perspectives.
Rather than following a chronological framework, A Decade of Upsilon is conceived as a constellation of practices, emphasising the affinities, dialogues, and resonances that have shaped the gallery’s identity over the past decade. The works on display reflect Upsilon’s commitment to abstraction, material exploration, figuration, and conceptual enquiry, while demonstrating the gallery’s ongoing role in fostering an international artistic community.
A Decade of Upsilon celebrates ten years of creative exchange, reaffirming Upsilon Gallery as a platform for dialogue across generations and geographies, and signalling its continued vision for the next decade of programming.
